Cliff Blake - Johnny, Assistant Producer
Cliff Blake is an award-winning actor, playwright and songwriter. His recent film performance in Eephus (100% Rotten Tomatoes), which world-premiered at Cannes, US- premiered at Lincoln Center (NYFF), and landed on many 2025 Best Films lists, garnered critics’ acclaim worldwide, including Variety’s comparisons of him to fellow Extraordinary Everyman Jack Lemmon. His extensive theater work includes angling for a plantation from Broadway’s Keir Dullea and Tony nominee Mia Dillon in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theatre); learning life lessons in four extended runs of Tuesdays with Morrie, including Cherry Lane in New York, as well as a special performance at Brandeis University, where the famous teacher-and-student, Morrie-and-Mitch, first met; and simply battling life and death as the late Obie-winning Robbie McCauley’s Willy Loman in her multi-racial Death of a Salesman. He is known for his extensive range, from A to B!!! — Atticus to Bob Ewell — his Atticus earning him Boston critics’ accolades for an innovative take on the iconic role (Roxbury Repertory Theatre) and his Bob Ewell performance in another To Kill a Mockingbird run (Gloucester Stage Company) personally praised by film icon Liv Ullmann. In musical theater, he has commanded ships in the Cape Cod Atlantic’s South Pacific (Cape Playhouse) and, like anyone in the theater business, gambled on stages all over the country as Harry the Horse in a Guys & Dolls National Tour. For Psych Drama, he not only has connived as Claudius in Hamlet, but played many a post-midnight game of George in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf. He founded and ran The ACKtors Table on Nantucket, where he cooked up an innovative concept combining theater, culinary arts and philanthropy, with 100% of proceeds donated to hunger-focused charities worldwide. As Knight of the Grill Johnny in this production, he aims to cook up a mouth-watering feast to satisfy audiences’ hunger for hope, satiate their appetite for love, and inspire a savory, life-affirming promise to, pardon-his-French, “Vis noblement . . .Bon appetit.”
