Our first season of shows explores themes of illusions in relationships, disappointment,  self-deception, reflections on the nature of “love”, primal and civilized parts of self, and authenticity. Replete with esteemed Harvard Medical School mental health professionals leading post-show discussions after each performance, we are pleased to present and welcome you to our inaugural season.

Tickets for each show are $25. Save with our discounted 2020 Season Ticket Package, which is available for $66 by contacting The Psych Drama Company directly at psychdramacompany@gmail.com or 774-259-4379.

At Home At The Zoo

By: Edward Albee

At Home at the Zoo combines Albee's classic, The Zoo Story, with its prequel, Homelife, to form a complete story of Peter (a book editor), Ann (his wife), and Jerry (a desperate man Peter meets in the park). The play begins by offering a revealing look at Peter and Ann's boring marriage and their brutal, failed attempts to communicate about it. The tone changes dramatically when Peter goes out to the park and meets Jerry.

Stage Kiss

By: Sarah Ruhl
Art imitates Life. Life imitates Art. When two actors with a history are thrown together as romantic leads in a forgotten 1930's melodrama, they quickly lose touch with reality as the story onstage follows them offstage. Stage Kiss captures Sarah Ruhl's singular voice. It is a charming tale about what happens when lovers share a stage kiss or when actors share a real one.

God of Carnage

By: Yasmina Reza
Winner of the 2009 Tony Award for Best Play, God of Carnage relates an evening in the lives of two couples, residents of a tony Brooklyn neighborhood, who meet to discuss a playground incident. After a successful staged reading in 2018, we're excited to bring God of Carnage back for a full production.
